Why I keep up on this blog

I'm finding that blogging is a very good outlet for me. Which is probably why a lot of other people do it too. Oh I'm sorry I never respond to comments or comment other blogs. I read them but I'm not much into the networking part of it- I just like to catch up.
Today I learned that I don't handle stress as well as I think I do. I had a complete melt down at lunch and was like why am I crying?? I never cry. And after thinking about the incident at work that set me off I realized stress was eating away at my soul and in turn was actually making me worse at my job which then stresses me out more. Vicious cycle. Now I have committed to doing more in my life to de-stress like taking a bath or getting out of the office at lunch and taking a real break.

The month of November...

To do a quick update- 2 weeks ago I received a promotion and went from a customer service agent to 'Information Coordinator' which mostly means I just gather information for the call floor to use. It's a pretty nice postion that is right up my alley but I'm finding I've got bigger ambitions than it can handle. Other good news is I have been employee of the week twice and runner up employee of the month once so I got some cool bonuses from that. Also about me going back to school- I am committed to it my problem is I will do research about what interests me and then I find something else that interests me more and start over researching that. I have all the schooling possible for generals so I'm kind of stuck until I decide to dive into something.... :P In other news the business has been hurting from the huge economy crash, I guess performance car parts aren't a priority over food~weird. But Jason has decided to dramatically change the business website. He has been having record page views the last week (thankfully!) and has decided to upgrade the websites look and user friendlyness (sp?) I'll post when that happens I'm pretty excited about it. For right now we are just buckling down through the Christmas season working like crazy to stay ahead of the economy crisis getting us too much.

Money Money Money

Jason and I have passed our first big marital trial. Money. Or the lack thereof. Being gone for the wedding and honeymoon finally caught up to us this week and we've been totally broke. It's been interesting. I thought there would be fighting and stress like I've seen with other couples (shame on me for assuming we are like other couples). Instead we've been going outside the box and it has drawn us closer together. I have much more respect for Jasons laid back attitude and his stress handling skills, though being me it stressed me out more that he wasn't stressed out. Now that were back to work and I have a new job, things are looking good. But it was the perfect learning experience for me.

More About Us

For those of our family and friends that we don't get to talk to regularly I figured I should explain more about Jason and myself.

Jason-

He is 22 years old, Feb.26 is his birthday. He was born in Phoenix, AZ but moved here when he was 12. He is the oldest and has 2 sisters, 1 brother and 2 half brothers. His mothers name is Susan and she owns a day spa and salon and his father name is Brett and he owns a business consulting firm.

Jason loves making cars fast. Ever seen Fast and the Furious? That might as well be him. His favorite car is the Mitsubishi 3000gt VR4. Right now he owns an online car parts website http://www.pricematchedparts.com/ that is his main source of income. In his free time Jason plays computer games, he likes solitaire on his phone and working on his car(s). His weirdest quirk (I think anyway) is that he won't drink any type of water but bottled water.

Jocelynn-

I am 20 years old, Mar.5 is my birthday. I was born in Provo, UT and grew up all over the valley locally. I am the oldest also, and have 1 brother and 1 sister. My mom is Andrea and she is a homemaker and my dad Nolan...we'll call him an entrepeneur for life.

I love messing around with computers. I take geek as a compliment. Right now I work at a drink supplement company called Zrii while I help Jason with the business and try to decide what I want to go into. I keep changing career paths. In my free time I LOVE to read. I love it so much that I have to meter when I start a book cuz once I start I read all night until I finish it. I also like to run around with our kitten Turbo. My weirdest quirk is I have to shower before I can clean the house.

Wedding Video!

Yay so I have the pictures back and I will be putting them up this weekend. For now I have the wedding video (edited down cuz it was really long).

You'll notice I only showed the end of the ceremony, thats because the wind kicked up so bad during it (of course there was no wind before or after it) that you can't hear anything on the video.

Mr. & Mrs.

Were back!
Ok real quick an update on wedding pictures. I don't have the professional ones back yet, I won't have them til next week so as soon as I have them I will post them so for now I'm going to do it backwards and put the honeymoon up first.

Honeymoon
We went on a cruise with Royal Caribbean to the western caribbean from sunday August 31st to sunday Sep 7th. We flew to Miami the Saturday after the wedding and spent the night there and then sailed out Sunday afternoon. We spent the first day at sea and the second day we were supposed to stop in Labadee, Haiti but the captain decided it wasn't safe to go there because of the hurricane Hanna. So we also spent the second day at sea, which was fine with us cuz the ship is so huge we had tons to do.
About the ship- Freedom of the Seas, she is currently the largest cruise ship in the world able to hold about 5,000 customers (not including all the staff). We had 4,200 on ours of which only 1,200 were American! I didn't realize how international the ship would be. 600 were from Venezuela and the break down of the rest was about 25-40 passengers from 40 other countries. The ship itself is 14 stories high it has a rock climbing wall, a surfing simulator, a movie theatre, a chapel, 3 pools, a casino... on and on.

This is the ship taken by me when we were in Jamaica.

The stateroom we stayed in was really nice and much more spacious then we had heard they are. We had the large bed, a vanity, closet, tv, bathroom and the port hole.

And the food! I learned that cruise ships are known for their gourmet food and wow we took advantage of that, they had so much that was freely available between the cafe and room service we ate 4 times a day haha.

So our first stop was in Jamaica- what a nightmare!!! In the picture below you can see the Ocho Rios port. The long sidewalk that comes out of the right corner is the gangplank. The moment we stepped off that we were mobbed by tourist agencies and vendors and taxi drivers, it was absolute chaos.

Finally we were able to get on a shuttle with a big group and head over to Dunns River Falls which is a beautiful very very very large cascading river- you can see it behind us in the picture. After which we went swimming and I hunted sea shells. Jamaica was very green and the most like a rainforest of the islands we stopped at.

I say it was a nightmare because while walking around the falls or even when we were down at the beach we had locals coming up trying to sell us souvenirs and weed, (actually having someone take this picture of us with our own camera cost us $3), and we had to say no 4 or 5 times to each person and then when we did they would get angry with us, I felt really unsafe, that the constant pressure overshadowed the fun of being on the island. We won't ever be going there again.
The next day we stopped in Grand Cayman and did some shopping then went to Stingray City and touched and held stingrays!!!

In the picture below is Stingray City. We are on a sandbar that is 20 min from shore and there are about 5 boats worth of tourists that get out into the water with about 20 stingrays that are really gentle and playful, we could pet them and feed them, and the boat drivers help everyone pick one up and hold it while they take a picture (for a fee of course). After which the driver took us to another reef to snorkel. This whole day was sooo neat for me cuz of my sea animals fetish haha.

That night we dressed up and went to the ships specialty restaurant Chops Grille and had amazing steak and service of a 5 star restaurant. The specialty restaurants are neat because we just pay a cover charge to get in and then we could order as much food as we wanted to try.

The last port we stopped in was Cozumel, Mexico. It was my favorite stop, we rented a scooter and drove down the coast to a little surf shop right on the reef and had authentic mexican food while we went snorkeling. We saw some BIG fish at this reef.

This is a video of the surf shop we spent the day at.

And thats everything. We had one last day at sea on our way back into Miami of which we slept most of the day, we were so wiped out from the week.

Here is a link to watch a slideshow of all the pictures of stuff we did in between what I highlighted in this post:
